4 or 5 Years Old: Music Lesson
Phonics Foundations, Singing, and Music Creation 🧙🏻♀️
Service Description
This trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming group class helps your preschooler or kindergartner develop phonics skills through music and simple songwriting. Through engaging songs and interactive activities, your child will learn letter sounds, vowels, and word families while also crafting simple verses by blending sounds, rhyming words, and building sentences, fostering literacy and creative expression. Private audio channels provide one-on-one support during key activities, offering personalized feedback to refine sound blending and songwriting skills. Weekly assignments with instructor feedback, session recordings, and monthly progress reports reinforce phonics and songwriting practice at home, providing parents and guardians with additional guidance and support. Activities like studying song lyrics, identifying keywords, and creating short songs enhance literacy development, vocabulary building, and sentence creation in a fun and interactive setting.

Booking Policy
At Once Upon a Voice, we are committed to creating a smooth and supportive learning environment for all students and their families. These guidelines are designed with a trauma-informed, neurodivergent-friendly approach to address diverse needs while ensuring fairness and consistency. A parent or legal guardian must remain on screen with the student throughout the group lesson. Only registered students may participate, and if multiple children wish to join, each must be enrolled individually to ensure appropriate attention and resources for everyone. Due to the structured nature of group lessons, rescheduling is not possible. However, students who miss a session can access a recording to review the material and stay on track. If students or their parents arrive late for a group lesson, the session will still end at the scheduled time to respect the group’s schedule. If unforeseen circumstances cause a delay, please notify us so we can accommodate your needs while maintaining the group’s flow. Consistent attendance and active participation are essential for progress. Frequent absences, tardiness, or failure to meet the required parent involvement may result in limited scheduling options or dismissal from the studio. While we are always open to discussing individual needs, we ask for a commitment to the agreed-upon schedule to ensure the best experience for everyone. Students who are unable to continue lessons indefinitely due to physical or mental health concerns may request prorated refunds, calculated from the date we receive medical documentation. Temporary absences do not qualify for refunds unless the instructor is unavailable, but students can access accommodations such as recorded sessions to stay engaged. By following these policies, we can create a fair, engaging, and effective learning environment. Let us know how we can best support your family’s musical journey.
